Alexis Yoo is an aspiring writer based in New York. She has been working on her debut novel, Love Child, since 2017. It has undergone many evolutions through the Columbia MFA program, including a year-long novel workshop with Victor LaValle, and a research trip to Tokyo supported by a Columbia travel grant. She has also taught imaginative fiction through Columbia’s pre-college program and was formerly a volunteer writing instructor at NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
